Make up Tips!

Hey everyone!

How are you today?

Today as you can see by the title, I am going to be sharing some of my recently learned make up tips!

I just started a makeup course at Tafe and have already learned so much, it is so much fun especially when you are as obsessed with make up as I am.

You may or may not already know some of these tips but for those who don't, I hope I helped :) Also, you may not agree with everything I say, but this is what I've learnt and what works for me!

So let's get into it!

1. When applying foundation, start in the centre of the face (the nose) and blend outwards, most people need the most coverage in the centre of their face. Also, it makes it easier to blend!

2. Again, when applying foundation, don't go past the bottom of the jaw line. If you try blend the foundation down your neck, the colour will be incorrect and with show an obvious foundation line! (You don't want that)

3. When using powder brow product and creating natural looking eye brows, start at the top of your eye brow and work your way to the tail, once you finished that use the leftover product on your brush to define the bottom of the start of your brow. Push the product upwards as it looks more natural. (Hope that made sense haha)

4. Bronzer! I see a lot of people over applying bronzer or contouring in-correctly, although that could just be their personal preference. But there is a correct way to contour cheekbones. Don't suck in your cheeks and put the product in the hollow of your cheeks, put it just slightly above the hollow. Trust me, I was blown away at how much better it looks.

5. Highlight these points on your face for a glowing makeup look: Down the bridge of your nose, top of cheekbones, place between eyebrows and middle of the forehead, eye brow bone and chin. You can also apply highlighter on your cupids bow to create fuller looking lips.

6. For smaller eyes, you can highlight the inner corner of eyes with a light/white eye shadow, this makes them look bigger and makes them POP! Don't apply black eyeliner on waterline, instead use white, really makes eyes look bigger.

7. If applying eyeshadow after applying a foundation, don't apply powder to your face until eyelids are finished. This is so if you have any fallout of have created a little bit of a mess under or around eyes, you can clean up with concealer of foundation. Since you can't put liquid products over powder products!

8. Green toned concealers can help balance out the red of pimples or acne, yellow toned concealers even out skin tones and can help highlight and brighten face, pink toned concealers are good at balancing out purple/blue areas; dark circles!

9. If your lips tend to make lipstick colours look different on your lips, apply foundation lightly on lips first, then apply lipstick! This can make it look lighter and more similar to the colour in the tube.

10. Finally, have fun with makeup! There are so many rules with makeup but you don't always have to follow them! If you feel confident then forget the rules. And remember makeup isn't there to cover up your face, it's there to enhance your natural beauty!

Let me know if you have any makeup tips for me or anyone else reading in the comments below, I would love to know!

One Direction Concert

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all having a lovely week, I've been having an AMAZING one because on Wednesday night I went to my first One Direction concert!

I've only been to a few concerts/festivals so this super exciting for me. My friend Lois and I travelled up to Brisbane which usually takes about an hour, but because of the concert the traffic was INSANE. It took us two hours in the car without stops, then we had to find a park...

We found two underground carparks and they both costed over $60 for 3 hours of parking. And we were going to be over 3 hours... $60!?!? Unbelievable. We could not believe people in Brisbane pay that much. Note to self: Catch the train next time.
Eventually we found a park near the train station which only costs about $6, thank god. But it was still a twenty minute walk to the stadium and we were already late.

In the end we got there just in time to see the ending of the opening act (McBusted, I think) and then did a bit of dancing to the Macarena and the Friends theme song that was playing while we waited for One Direction to come on.

We were off to the side of the stage, about nine rows back from the front of our section. We were close enough to see them clearly but not vice-versa (unfortunately). They played so many of my favourite songs, some from their new album, Four, and some from their others albums too. The room had such a good vibe, everyone was excited and screaming. My ears felt like they were blocked when we left and my throat kind of hurt to from singing.

I uploaded my first vlog onto my YouTube channel if you'd like to check that out then here's the link to my channel, it's currently uploading so I can't give you the direct link, sorry! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0tj6_B4jR2xJAIYhtmDYQQ

It was a very long night and I was exhausted once I finally arrived home, but it was all worth it! Can't wait to go to their next concert!

Thank you for reading, see you soon :)

Tanya Burr Lip Gloss Review

Hellooo

Hope everyone's doing well!

Today I'm going to be talking about Tanya Burr lip glosses, I only just bought my first Tanya Burr lip gloss (a bit late, I know.) Tanya Burr is a beauty vlogger on YouTube (one of my fav's) who has released her own line of make up products including: lip gloss, eyelashes and nail polish. And will hopefully release more in the future. She has almost 3 million subscribers on YouTube which is insane, anyway, I am sure you all know who she is so let's get onto it.

The lip gloss I bought was Enchanted Forrest which is a dark-ish purple colour. It is a gorgeous shade with the most amazing grape/berry smell. It looks really nice either on it's own, or over a dark purple shade lipstick such as Dark Side by Mac, or even over a red lipstick. On its own, it is quite pigmented and lasts a good amount of time, even when eating. It does stain your lips even after the gel comes off; which is great for all day use.

The lip glosses at 8ml and you don't need a lot when applying, so I assume it will last me a long time.

The texture of the product is really smooth and the applicator applies a smooth even coat. It feels super soft on your lips and isn't really sticky like some lip glosses.

The Tanya Burr lip glosses cost $13.49 Australian dollars, which I think is a good price for a good quality lip gloss. I would really like to try the lip gloss colours in I found Nemo and Aurora. Except they are both out of stock on the website I buy them from.

The only thing I do not like about the Tanya Burr lip glosses is that I can't buy them in Australia! I have to order them off the website Feeling Unique and ordering online means I have to pay for postage! :(

BRING TANYA BURR PRODUCTS TO THE SHOPS IN AUSTRALIA PLEASE AND THANKYOU.

What's your fav Tanya Burr product?

Thanks for reading!

Brunette to Ombre!

Hello everyone!

How are we all!? Sorry my blog posts haven't been that frequent, I haven't been feeling all too inspired lately. Also my laptop has decided to break and is at Apple getting fixed, I may have lost all my photo's and everything on my laptop *crying*. Until I get it back I am on my mum's computer haha...

Anyway, today I thought I'd talk about my hair, since I went to the hairdressers the other day and died the ends blonde. And I REALLY like it, so I thought I'd share it with you.

I really thought it was time for a little change, I was bored of my appearance and since finishing school I have a whole new chapter of life ahead of me. This felt necessary.

Here is the BEFORE photo, as you can see my hair was slightly lighter at the ends as I had a few golden streaks through it.

And here it is now! A whole lot blonder at the ends, it's also quite a bit shorter since after bleaching the ends kind of died.

I really have to take care of my hair because the whole process of getting it lighter included a lot of bleach and my hair doesn't exactly love that. I have been using Nak Aroma oil before straightening and to keep my hair healthy. I have Schwarzkopf Hair Repair leave in treatment to heal the ends and keep it looking shiny and feeling smooth.

My hair dresser recommended Keune Silver Reflex Shampoo to help keep my hair from going yucky orange over time. This helps neutralize yellow and refreshes grey (as it says on the back). The conditioner I use to fight split ends is Keune Care Line Treatment. This is treatment for damaged hair.

Using all these products and taking the time to take care of my hair is really helping and to be honest, it doesn't look too damaged.

As for the process, it took about 3 hours. I had to leave the colour in for almost fourty minutes and then my hairdresser (Nicki, Klawz in Nerang) washed, toned, blow dried and curled my hair to perfection. I was extremely happy with the end result, except during the process I can say I was worried I wouldn't like it.

I have had quite a few compliments from friends so I hope you like it too! If there's something you'd like to do, whether it be a change in appearance or doing something you're too scared to do, remember that life's too short and if you don't change you won't grow as a person and you'll regret being too scared in the future!

Thanks for reading everyone, leave me comments on something you've changed in your life recently, whether it be a minor or major change :)
